Every year, the occasion of November 20 provides a valuable opportunity for university officials and employees to reflect on cherished traditions and exchange experiences in the field of education. It also serves as a moment for students to express their gratitude for the significant contributions of teachers across generations. In this spirit, the seminar featured intimate and heartfelt sharing sessions by teachers from various generations who have dedicated themselves to the university's educational mission.
During the seminar, the entire hall attentively listened to the professional narratives of two esteemed teachers, Ms. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong from the Faculty of Commerce and Tourism, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Phi Van from the Faculty of Basic Sciences. Both educators have earned tremendous affection from students throughout their tenure at the university.
In his heartfelt article, student Nguyen Mai Gia Huy expressed his admiration for Ms. Van through poignant lines: "During lessons, she consistently delivers enthusiastic lectures, drawing upon all her knowledge, accompanied by a soft and gentle voice to effectively convey information to students. As I delved deeper into the subject matter, my appreciation for her teaching style only grew. When it came time for students to tackle assignments, she didn't remain seated at her desk; instead, she moved to each table, closely observing and guiding students through the tasks. If a student struggled to grasp a concept, she patiently stood by, offering explanations until clarity was achieved. It is this level of dedication that truly touched my heart."
Ms. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong and Ms. Nguyen Thi Phi Van addressed the seminar.
The seminar was graced by the presence of a distinguished guest, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Cuc, the Former Head of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting. Ms. Cuc holds the distinction of being the mentor to numerous generations of students, and many of her former students have gone on to become lecturers at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.
During the seminar, Ms. Cuc took a reflective journey, sharing, "In my career as a teacher, my time at IUH stands out as the most rewarding. Being a teacher is a calling, a passion, and an aspiration to build a high-caliber team. I joined IUH in its early days of transformation from a college to a university, navigating through numerous challenges and shortages. Yet, there was always a shared commitment among lecturers and students to lay the foundation for the Faculty of Finance and Accounting and the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City. As I stand here today, memories flood back as if they were just yesterday. I am genuinely thrilled to witness that my students from those days are now recognized and respected by society. This, for me, is the unparalleled joy of the teaching profession."
Assoc. Prof. Phan Thi Cuc emotionally shared her feeling at the seminar.
