In the afternoon of November 17, at Hall E4 in the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH), the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh People's Union organized a program to celebrate the 41st anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day (20/11/1982 – 20/11/2023). The event included the commendation of the "Typical Young Teacher" award and the "Young, Good, Friendly Officer" award for 2023.

The program was attended by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hong, a Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the university, along with teachers and leaders from various university units. Comrade Huynh Phu Vinh, a Party Member and Secretary of the University Union, was also present, joined by the Standing Committee of the University Union, the Secretariat of the University Students' Union, and the Executive Committee of the Union campuses and affiliated Association campuses.

During the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Phu Vinh delivered a traditional speech in honor of Vietnam Teachers' Day on November 20, and student Nguyen Thi Quynh Trang expressed gratitude to teachers on behalf of the students.

The program recognized exemplary young cadres, officials, and lecturers who have demonstrated exceptional efforts, overcome challenges, achieved significant accomplishments in their work, and contributed innovative ideas and practical solutions in their professional and teaching roles. These individuals have also actively participated in Union activities.

In his address at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hong, Vice Rector of the university, urged the Standing Committee to continue the effective implementation and expansion of the "Typical Young Teacher" and "Young, Good, Friendly Cadres and Officials" awards. He emphasized the importance of developing practical solutions and programs to attract more exemplary young officials and lecturers. Furthermore, he encouraged strengthened collaboration with relevant agencies and units to promptly recognize and promote the positive images of young teachers, cadres, and officials.

This annual activity is part of a series of events to celebrate Vietnam Teachers' Day on November 20. In 2023, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh People's Delegation introduced the online Emulation–Reward software, facilitating a fast and efficient application and selection process in alignment with the societal development trend.
